Zoo opening hours: 10am to 5.30pm
: Parking is free in the zoo’s car park. You must collect a free parking pass from entrance staff.
Please note we are unable to refund any money used in the parking meters
: Home educated children can attend this event for the same rate as IW schoolchildren who have an educational visit with their class. Accompanying parents/guardians will be granted a 50% discount on the normal IW residents’ admission price.
This works out at £6.25 per child and £4.00 per adult.
This price is only applicable for 8th June 2016.
IOW Zoo members can attend the event free of charge.
There will be three classroom sessions during the day (plus an informal drop-in session), each aimed at a different age group. However these ages are just guides and you are welcome to bring your children to one aimed at older or younger children if you feel that is more appropriate. These sessions will take place in the Education Centre.

11.30 to 12.15 Adaptation 10 to 12 years
13.00 to 13.45 Endangered animals over 12 years
14.00 to 16.00 Casual drop-in session all ages
Education staff will be available to chat and to try to answer your questions. There will also be some artefacts to view and perhaps to handle.
There will be a full programme of public presentations throughout the day and you are welcome to go along to as many or as few as you like. The presentation programme will be displayed on the central zoo noticeboard, just outside the cafe.
When we receive your booking form we will email you a resource pack of self-guided activities. Simply choose those that appeal to you, print them off and bring them along with you to the zoo.
The National Poo Museum
The museum is located in part of the old fort and can only be accessed from inside the zoo. There is no additional charge for visiting the museum.
The main toilet block (including disabled facility and baby changing) is in Lemurland. There is also a disabled toilet and baby changing in the cafe.
Our cafe serves hot and cold food throughout the day.
All areas of the site are wheelchair accessible.
The shop has a wide range of souvenirs at pocket money prices.
