Meet the Wallabies...

We currently have six Bennett's wallabies at the Isle of Wight Zoo.
Their names are:
  • Snuffleupagus, aka Snuffy. He is the biggest wallaby.
  • Bert
  • Ernie
  • Dudley
  • Oscar
  • The Count - he is a white wallaby.

Our wallabies are all male, and five of them are named after Sesame Street characters. The other, Dudley, is named after Paul Dudley, who built their enclosure in 2011.

Meet the Wallabies

We offer guests the chance to meet our wallabies every day during the wallaby feeds.

Guests who wish to participate will need to buy a token for £2 per person (under 3s are free). These are available from the shop. We recommend that people buy their tokens on arrival, as number are limited. This is for animal welfare reasons as we don't want to overcrowd the wallabies.

We can't ever guarantee the wallabies will eat from your hand, but you will get very close to them!

Children under the age of 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult. Children who are 10 or over can participate without an adult, as long as a guardian is watching from outside the enclosure.
